Brake Pad Replacement

Brake Pads

How do I know I need a replacement Brake Pads?

Brake pads are commonly made out of organic, semi-metallic or ceramic friction materials. When you press the brake pedal, brake fluid is forced from the master cylinder to the calipers, in a disc brake system.

This moves one or more pistons in the caliper; which forces the brake pad against the rotor. This force is responsible for slowing and stopping your vehicle.
Over time, your brake pad material wears away.

It is important to change your brake pads before the fiction material is completely worn away. If brake pads are allowed to wear to the point there is no more friction material left, it can severely damage brake rotors, calipers or caliper components. This results in much higher repair costs.

Signs of worn brake pads:

  • Squealing when braking
  • Increased stopping distance
  • Increased brake pad travel
  • Lower brake pad
  • Grinding Noise

How much will it cost?

The typical cost for the testing and replacement is between $120-$450 for parts and labor. This price range is averaged across all passenger vehicles. The actual cost depends on your specific make, model and year. Depending on your specific vehicle, this cost may be lower or higher. This cost estimate is for the specific repair listed and doesn’t include additional, related items that may require repair.

What is included:

  • Inspections of brake rotors
