C0035 Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit
The ABS module has detected an electrical fault in the left front wheel speed sensor circuit.
Definition
C0035 means the ABS module is not getting a valid signal from the left front wheel speed sensor. The cause is usually the sensor itself, the tone ring (reluctor) on the hub, or wiring damage near the wheel well.
Common causes
- Failed left front wheel speed sensor
- Damaged or contaminated tone ring on the front hub
- Wiring harness damage at the wheel well or sensor connector
- Corroded sensor connector
Common misdiagnoses
- Replacing the ABS module when the sensor or wiring is the actual fault.
Troubleshooting steps
-
1. Inspect the sensor connector
Disconnect, check for corrosion, water intrusion, or pin damage.
-
2. Measure sensor resistance/output
Per service manual, verify the sensor's electrical signature.
-
3. Inspect the tone ring
Look for cracks, missing teeth, or metal debris stuck to the ring.
-
4. Wiggle-test the harness
With the scan tool watching live ABS data, flex the harness near the wheel well to find a broken wire.
