Windshield nozzle adjustment.
Washer fluid missing the glass? We aim, clear and repair your nozzle jets.
Correct windshield nozzle adjustment is critical for clearing dirt, salt spray and road debris while you drive. The nozzle jets create the spray pattern for your washer fluid — and when they clog or fall out of alignment, fluid sprays where you don't want it or misses the windshield entirely. Our certified technicians clear, aim or replace your nozzles so your view stays clear, all at your home or workplace.

Typical cost
Diagnostic services are performed to find the cause of an issue. Because complexity varies by system, we estimate the time required and present that, with a price, before any work begins.
- Diagnostic fee: based on the estimated time to locate the issue
- Waived with repair: the diagnostic cost is not charged if you proceed with the repair
- If declined: the cost of the diagnostic service is still due
- Repair cost: depends on whether the nozzle needs cleaning, aiming, or replacement, plus any tubing or pump work
Final cost depends on your vehicle. You'll receive a written estimate before any work begins.
Typical service procedure
What's generally involved to restore a clean, correctly-aimed spray:
- Confirm fluid & pump — check the reservoir and listen for the washer pump
- Electrical check — inspect the fuse, relay, pump and switch if no fluid sprays
- Inspect the lines for a broken or disconnected washer tube or connector
- Clear the jets — break down debris and gently clean clogged nozzles
- Aim adjustable nozzles toward the middle of the windshield
- Service fixed nozzles — reseat, shim or replace with adjustable units where possible
- Test to confirm a clean, on-target spray pattern
- Documentation of parts and work performed
What does a windshield nozzle do?
The washer nozzle jets provide the spray pattern that puts cleaning fluid onto your windshield. Over time they can become clogged with debris or knocked out of alignment, so the fluid sprays in the wrong spot — or misses the glass altogether. Nozzles come in two varieties: adjustable and fixed.
- Adjustable nozzles: aimed by gently moving the eyelet on the nozzle. They should move easily — too much force can damage them. Aim toward the middle of the windshield.
- Fixed nozzles: not aimable. If one sprays wrong, make sure it's fully seated and nothing is obstructing the tip; otherwise it can be replaced — sometimes with an adjustable unit, or shimmed to correct the aim.
- Clogs: dirt at the nozzle tip blocks flow. A soap-and-water mix or a gentle pick can clear it.
- No spray at all: often a broken washer tube or connector — look for fluid dripping under the hood.
Signs you need nozzle service
- Fluid sprays too high, too low, or off to one side
- Weak or uneven spray pattern
- One nozzle works, the other doesn't
- No fluid reaches the glass despite a full reservoir
- Fluid leaking under the hood when you activate the washers
