Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and your engagement of Fixitfor.us for vehicle repair and roadside services. By requesting a service, estimate, or scheduling an appointment, you agree to the terms below.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form an agreement between you, the customer ("you"), and Advanced Alternative Solutions LLC and Fixitforus Automotive LLC (collectively "Fixitfor.us," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting this website, requesting an estimate, scheduling an appointment, or accepting any estimate or invoice, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or request our services.

These Terms apply in addition to, and should be read together with, our Legal & Warranty Disclosures, which include the disclosures required by the State of Michigan and the full terms of our agreement to perform repair work. Where these Terms and the Legal & Warranty Disclosures address the same subject, the more specific provision controls.

Services & Estimates

Fixitfor.us provides mobile and shop-based repair and maintenance services for automobiles, light and heavy-duty trucks, RVs and motorhomes, and marine vehicles, as well as roadside assistance throughout West Michigan. The scope of any particular job is defined by the written estimate or invoice provided to you.

Estimates are our best approximation of the cost and scope of the work needed to address the concern you describe. Estimates are based on the information available to us at the time and are subject to change in accordance with Michigan law and our agreement to perform repair work. Any repair expected to cost $50.00 or more will be accompanied by a written estimate. If a diagnosis reveals additional necessary work that increases the cost, we will contact you for authorization before proceeding.

A minimum call-out / service fee and a mileage fee are standard and are incorporated into our estimates and invoices for mobile work. Diagnostic fees may apply where in-person diagnosis or disassembly is required. The detailed estimate-validity, disassembly, and parts provisions are set out in full in our Legal & Warranty Disclosures.

Scheduling & Cancellation

Appointments may be requested through our online estimate request, by phone at (616) 409-8940, or by other arrangement with us. Scheduling an appointment confirms that the location, vehicle, and contact information you provide are accurate and that the vehicle will be accessible at the agreed time.

We ask that you provide as much notice as reasonably possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Because mobile service requires us to reserve a technician and travel to your location, a call-out / service fee and mileage fee may apply if our technician arrives and the work cannot be performed for reasons outside our control — for example, if the vehicle is inaccessible, the location is unavailable, or no authorized person is present.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep scheduled appointments but cannot guarantee specific arrival times. Delays may occur due to weather, traffic, prior jobs running long, or parts availability. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any delay promptly.

Payment & Rates

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing. Our current labor rates, fees, and accepted payment methods are described on our Rates page. The final invoice details all parts, labor, and any additional fees (such as shop supplies or hazardous-waste disposal) and represents the complete cost of the work performed; it may be provided electronically.

Amounts not paid when due may be subject to enforcement actions permitted by law, which may include debt collection, credit reporting, the Garage Keepers Lien Act (for in-facility repairs where applicable), or other legal action. Financing options, where available, are described on our Financing page and are subject to the terms of the financing provider.

Warranty

Eligible repair services are covered by our limited warranty for 24 months or 24,000 miles of use, whichever comes first, measured from the date of service and the odometer reading on the applicable invoice. The full terms of coverage, exclusions, conditions that void the warranty, the battery warranty, and the claim process are set out in our Legal & Warranty Disclosures.

To file a claim, complete our Warranty Claim form or email warranty@fixitfor.us with your invoice details. Except as expressly stated in our limited warranty, Fixitfor.us makes no other warranties and disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Property Access & Permissions

By authorizing repair work, you grant us permission to perform the agreed services and, where necessary, to operate your vehicle for the purpose of diagnosis or to confirm that a repair was completed correctly. Unless you notify us otherwise, you affirm that the vehicle is properly registered and insured, and you accept responsibility for any fees or penalties arising from improper registration or insurance.

For mobile work, you grant us permission to perform the service at the location you specify. Where that location is owned or controlled by a third party, you represent that you have obtained all permissions necessary for the work to proceed. If a third-party owner requests that work stop, you agree to pay for the work completed up to that point, together with any applicable call-out / service and mileage fees.

You are responsible for ensuring the work area is safe and reasonably accessible. We may decline or pause work where conditions are unsafe, where the vehicle or location is inaccessible, or where required permissions have not been obtained.

Limitation of Liability

Motor vehicles are exposed to harsh conditions — heat, cold, road salt, moisture, and age — that can cause corrosion, brittleness, or weakness in components unrelated to the primary part being serviced ("Secondary Components"). When Secondary Components must be removed or disturbed to complete a repair, there is an inherent risk of damage that may be unavoidable despite reasonable care. You acknowledge and accept these inherent risks. Where such damage occurs, we will address it as described in our Legal & Warranty Disclosures.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fixitfor.us is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of time, lost profits, or costs of substitute transportation, arising out of or relating to our services or these Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms, and all matters arising out of or relating to them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any action, litigation, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms will be brought exclusively in the 63rd District Court, Kent County, Michigan, or other courts of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Michigan, and any appellate court thereof.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this website at the time you request services applies to that request. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of our website or services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
