  • Park vehicle on level surface and wait for engine to cool
  • Locate and remove dipstick
  • Wipe clean with lint-free cloth
  • Reinsert and remove to check level
  • Inspect oil color and consistency
  • Add appropriate oil if needed

2. Coolant Level and Condition

Procedure:

  • Check coolant reservoir level when engine is cold
  • Inspect color and consistency
  • Test antifreeze concentration
  • Top up with correct mixture if needed
  • Check for signs of contamination

3. Power Steering Fluid

Procedure:

  • Locate power steering reservoir
  • Check fluid level with engine off
  • Inspect fluid color and clarity
  • Add appropriate fluid if needed

4. Brake Fluid
