Hydraulic clutch systems are very reliable. The systems use a hydraulic fluid, which is moved from a primary (master) cylinder to a secondary (slave) cylinder. This allows the clutch to be disengaged when start a vehicle or shifting gears.

As reliable as they systems are, they can break.

When the break you will typically have the following symptoms:

  • Unable to disengage clutch, even pressing pedal
  • Fluid leaking
  • Soft pedal
  • Pedal drops and wont return
  • Hard to shift
  • Low or no fluid in reservoir
