- If we are dispatched by your Insurance or a third-party dispatcher all payment is typically handled through your insurance or the third-party dispatcher. Please verify with any insurance, motor clubs, or third party dispatchers if you have any out of pocket expense.
- If you contact us directly, you will be provided with the cost of service and asked to provide a debit or credit card to authorize payment.

Do I need to have my vehicle towed?
You may require towing if any of the following situations apply:
- Your vehicle lacks a spare tire.
- Your vehicle’s spare tire is damaged.
- Your vehicle’s wheel mounting hardware is damaged (such as broken wheel studs, bolts, or nuts).
- Your vehicle’s battery light came on, it stalled, and now won’t restart (similar to a dead battery).
- Your vehicle stalls and won’t restart (provided you have fuel).
- You have been involved in an accident and your vehicle isn’t safe to drive.

What to Do in a Roadside Emergency
Roadside emergencies come in various types and severities. Here’s essential information to ensure your safety, get you back on the road (if feasible), and prevent additional accidents or injuries.
Running Out of Fuel or Vehicle Stall:
- Attempt to coast your vehicle to the side of the road. Ideally, choose the right side of a multi-lane road. If necessary, use a center breakdown lane or median.
- Put your vehicle in park.
- If on a road, stay in your vehicle, wearing your seatbelt. Activate your hazard lights and call for assistance.
- If unable to pull off completely, dial 911. Stay in your vehicle with your seatbelt fastened and hazards on.
Experiencing a Flat Tire:
- Slowly move your vehicle off the road.
- Turn on your hazard lights.
- Change the tire only if safe. Consider calling for assistance.
- On major roads or highways, aim to pull into a parking lot, rest area, or the nearest exit.
Involved in a Traffic Crash:
- Stay in your vehicle and keep your seatbelt fastened.
- If possible, move your vehicle to the shoulder or nearest exit. Michigan operates on a “Clear it or Steer it” principle for safety.
- Activate your hazard lights.
- Call the local police or Sheriff for assistance.
- If there are injuries or you can’t safely move the vehicle, dial 911. Michigan requires reporting crashes that cause injuries or more than $1,000 in damages.
Michigan’s Move Over Law:
- Slow down and move over for stationary emergency vehicles with lights activated.
- Reduce your speed by at least 10 mph below the posted limit (e.g., if it’s 50 mph, slow to 40 mph).
- Fully move into an open lane or slow by 10 mph if you can’t change lanes.
This law applies to stationary vehicles with lights on:
- Police
- Fire
- Rescue
- Ambulance
- Road Service (tow trucks, roadside assistance vehicles, and MDOT courtesy vehicles)
- Road Maintenance
- Utility Service
- Solid Waste Hauler
Violations result in:
- 2 points on your license and a $400 fine.
- Misdemeanor for violations involving solid waste, utility service, or road maintenance vehicles.
- Up to 15 years in prison and/or a $7,500 fine for violations causing an emergency responder’s death.
- Up to 2 years in prison and/or a $1,000 fine for violations causing an injury to an emergency responder.
